From the OPP
Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Rainy River District OPP officers were dispatched to a 9-1-1 call of a motor vehicle being operated in an unsafe manner on Highway 11 in the Gehl Lake area.
Officers located the vehicle in question and conducted an investigation.
A 31-year-old Thunder Bay man subsequently was charged with:
•one count of having a blood alcohol level over 80 mg;
•one count of impaired operation of a motor vehicle;
•one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle; and
•one count of fail to stop at the scene of an accident.
He also faces two counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.
He was due to appear in court here this morning.
