A Fort Frances swimmer was deemed the cream of the crop last week.
Donovan Taylor was named the Summit League Conference swimmer-of-the-week after a terrific effort representing the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at the Minnesota Challenge meet in Minneapolis on the weekend.
The former Fort Frances Aquanaut swam to gold in the 200m I.M. and 200m butterfly.
He also placed fourth in the 400m I.M. in serving as the pace swimmer for a Jackrabbits’ teammate looking to improve his personal best in his final race of the season.
The meet served as a warm-up for Taylor in advance of the conference championships, which run Feb. 17-20 in Indianapolis.
