Joleigh Hayes left her opponents in a daze.
Hayes netted both goals for the La Place Rendez-Vous Rage in a 2-0 shutout of the Wright Physiotherapy Rockettes in Borderland Women’s Indoor Soccer action last night at Fort High.
With last week’s action cancelled due to exams, the Rage (3-0) won the battle of unbeaten teams to move into sole possession of top spot ahead of the Rockettes (2-1).
The night’s other game saw the Fine Foods Fury (2-2) win by forfeit over the Shear Serenity Strykers (1-2), who didn’t have enough players.
The Boston Pizza Ball Blasters (0-3) had the bye.
Action resumes next Wednesday (Feb. 10) at 7 p.m. with the Strykers taking on the Rockettes, followed by the Ball Blasters facing the Rage at 8:15.
The Fury have the bye.
