Royal Canadian Legion Br. #29 president Ray Watson and Fort Frances Mayor Roy Avis kicked off the Legion’s annual poppy campaign Monday afternoon with a flag-raising at the Civic Centre. Poppies are available at various locations around town until Remembrance Day. In related news, the annual “Remembrance Day Tea,” hosted by the local Legion Ladies Auxiliary, will be held this Sunday (Nov. 8) from 2-4 p.m. at the Legion.
