Curtis Boivin, left, Hue Eldridge, and Curran Strachan were “books” for the second-annual “Human Library” event at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre on Tuesday night. Held in partnership with the local Celebrating Diversity committee, the event allowed people to “borrow” the “books” for conversation to learn about their stories of facing adversity. For instance, Boivin suffered a brain injury when was involved in a high-speed snowmobile accident back in 2011, Eldridge came to Fort Frances from Vietnam in 1979, and Strachan struggled with bullying as he grew up as a gay man in a small town.
