From the OPP
On Tuesday, the Red Lake/Ear Falls OPP received a report of a single motor-vehicle collision on Joyce Lake Road northeast of Ear Falls.
An investigation revealed the lone male driver was northbound on a remote logging road in his pickup truck when he lost control and entered the west ditch, rolling the vehicle.
He was not wearing his seatbelt at the time.
James Miller, 53, of Zealand Township, and formerly of Fort Frances, died as a result of his injuries.
In other news, officers received a report of a male who had sustained a gunshot injury Monday.
Officers attended Gold Arrow Camp on Highway 105, south of Ear Falls, and learned a 32-year-old male from the U.S. was injured while travelling in the box of a pickup truck.
No charges have been laid at this time.
