The fate of the local stock car racing season could be determined this weekend.
The Borderland Racing Association has called a meeting for this Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Emo Speedway.
All interested volunteers are asked to attend.
The start of the racing season will be delayed for at least a second-straight week because the track won’t be in shape for competition by this Saturday.
But without more volunteers to handle such duties as running the front gate, back gate, canteen, and 50/50 draws, association president Ken Perry Sr. has warned the season won’t get underway at all.
Those willing to donate their time can call Perry at 274-2339.
