Tickets are now on sale for Fort Frances Little Theatre’s latest production, “Office Hours.”
The comedy, directed by Cathy Richards, will be a dinner theatre performance staged April 23-25 at the Copper River Inn.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. (rush seating), with dinner to follow and then the play starting by 8 p.m.
Tickets cost $45 each, which are available at the Fine Line Art Gallery on Mowat Avenue and the Copper River Inn.
The cast and crew have been working on the play for more than two months, and the production is “coming along very well,” according to Richards.
“As usual, you wish you had just one more week but we will be ready,” she enthused.
The cast consists of “lots of new faces,” noted Richards.
They include Joyce McCormick, Brian Hagarty, Cynthia Donald, Rob Tovey, Jonathan Price, Charleen Mallory, Matt Soprovich, Jason Kabel, Susie Tilley, Kathi Gagne, Brittany Hayes, and Duane Hicks.
Christine Denby is the stage manager.
The two-act comedy promises to be a laugh-filled evening out on the town.
“This play is by a Canadian playwright [Norm Foster] and in one word: funny!” said Richards.
The plot explores the everyday concerns of people working in small-time offices.
It consists of six loosely-connected vignettes that combine in the final one to tie some of the narrative threads together.
The comedy is for adults only, with its fair share of innuendo and mature language.
The dinner theatre also will tie into the 20th anniversary of the Fine Line Art Gallery.
Gallery artists will be displaying artwork in the Copper River Inn’s lobby during the play’s run, as well as on set.
