‘Blah’ sign

Dear Mike:
Every time we drive by the “blah” sign on the eastern edge of Fort Frances, it just makes us wonder.
It is a very plain huge white billboard which says in boring black and green: “Fort Frances Boundless.” Way down in the corner there is a tiny “green” maple leaf—and that’s it!
I think previously the same sign board read: “Welcome to Fort Frances!” and the symbol that Fort Frances used to have—the “L’il Amik”
Cute little otter with a red toque . . . what a difference!
The new sign doesn’t even say “Welcome.” And for a tourist arriving into town, what the heck does “Boundless” mean?
Perhaps a clever marketing company sold the town a bill of goods?
