Train derails near Barwick

Barwick residents were evacuated from their homes late yesterday afternoon after a train derailment.
A total of 14 rail cars, some possibly carrying fuel, went off the tracks near Barwick.
The Nordbord mill was shut down and about 60 homes were evacuated.
Evacuees convened at the Emo Arena, the alternate shelter site for Chapple Township in emergencies.
Rainy River First Nations has not been evacuated but is on standby.
