On Saturday around 11:30 a.m., police, Emergency Medical Services, and the local fire department were called to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of King’s Highway and Holmes Avenue.
Investigation determined an eastbound vehicle turned into the path of a westbound one.
A passenger in the eastbound vehicle, Jane McLeod, 95, of Fort Frances was taken to hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
The roadway was closed for an extended period of time to facilitate the investigation.
The driver of the eastbound vehicle has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
Police are continuing to investigate the incident.
