On May 1, members of the Treaty #3 Police Service Street Crime Unit, in co-operation with the Fort Frances and Thunder Bay OPP Drug Enforcement Units, conducted a traffic stop on Highway 11, east of the Couchiching.
It led to the seizure of a large quantity of marijuana.
As a result of the seizure, the Treaty #3 Police Service was granted a search warrant for a residence on Couchiching.
That resulted in the seizure of evidence supporting the charge of trafficking in a controlled substance.
A 33-year-old male and a 23-year-old female from Couchiching were arrested.
They face charges of trafficking and possession for the purpose of trafficking marijuana.
