Team Ontario is rolling—and Amber Jourdain and Alexis Perreault are hoping to get back in on the fun.
The Couchiching duo were not in the lineup for yesterday’s 4-0 win over B.C. in Ontario’s final round-robin game at the 2015 National Aboriginal Hockey Championships in Bedford, N.S.
With the win, second-ranked Ontario (3-0) clinched first place in Division II.
They played a cross-over quarter-final against eighth-ranked Team North (0-2-1), which had finished fourth in Division 1, earlier today.
The outcome was unavailable as of press time.
Jourdain and Perreault both started for Ontario in its 8-0 rout of Team Atlantic (0-2-1) on Tuesday, but never made it to the end of the game.
For Jourdain, a serious bout of the ’flu limited her to only a few shifts early in the first period.
Perreault, meanwhile, left the game after blocking a shot in the first.
The status of both players for today’s quarter-final wasn’t known at press time.
The semi-finals are scheduled for tomorrow, with the bronze- and gold-medal games set for Saturday.
