Township of Emo residents should be able to use water regularly again by tomorrow.
A notice to refrain from non-essential water use was posted on the township’s website because of unexpected issues at the Emo water treatment plant.
CAO/Clerk-Treasurer Bridget Beck said this morning the issues currently are in the process of being resolved.
“We had some raw water pump failure,” she explained.
“They had to pump out the wet well and they are fixing those pumps,” she added.
“They are being repaired right now.”
Beck said this precaution is to ensure water levels are maintained so the pump can be repaired under ideal conditions.
This is the second day Emo residents were asked to curb their water usage.
But Beck said everyone will be able to resume regular water usage by tomorrow at the latest.
