The Rainy River Future Development Corp. is hosting a fundraising workshop for the public to attend.
The workshop, set for this Monday (June 22) at La Place Rendez-Vous, will be led by Sandra Larmour, a 17-year fundraising expert.
Larmour has run various campaigns that have ranged from an annual target of $1.2 million-$20 million.
“She has strategically developed and successfully overseen fund programs for organizations including a national political party and charities such as the Hearing Foundation of Canada and the Aboriginal Achievement Foundation,” noted Maria Ciotti, development and planning co-ordinator with the RRFDC.
Ciotti said Larmour will be speaking on how to structure an annual fundraising program.
“We’re looking for volunteer groups who are interested in attending who would like to learn more about different ways to fundraise to help their specific organization,” she added.
Those interested in attending are asked to R.S.V.P. to Ciotti (274-9621) by noon Monday.
Over the weekend, they can leave their R.S.V.P. at the tourism centre here (274-7303).
