Joey Onichuk, left, and Ben Whitburn started a fire using kindling and cotton as part of the “Outdoor Activities” class at Fort High. The class has participated in a variety of activities, such as Nordic cross-country skiing and archery. Students also have had lessons on winter survival and learned skills to build a snow shelter called a quinzee.
