Nick Wihnan, left, was presented with the “Senior of the Year 2014” award by Mayor Roy Avis yesterday evening during the Sister Kennedy Centre’s annual appreciation dinner. Wihnan was honoured for his long-time commitment to the centre and helping local seniors. Mildred Bedard was presented with a retirement award while Lawrence Desserre was given the “Snow White” award. Local businesses also were shown appreciation for their support of the centre over the years.
