A crew from George Armstrong Co. Ltd. started to remove the support structures of the old government dock on Sand Bay yesterday. The pilings are being removed for the sake of boater safety. The dock, which already was in a state of ill-repair, broke apart due to high waters and strong winds back in June, after which the above-water sections of it were dismantled and removed.
