Signs urging voters to re-elect Dan Onichuk for mayor appeared around town overnight. But Onichuk, who served as mayor from 2003-06, had not filed nomination papers as of press time today to run against incumbent Roy Avis and Coun. Andrew Hallikas in the Oct. 27 municipal election. Onichuk could not be reached for clarification this morning.
