Looking for something to do this weekend?
How about sorting through books you don’t want anymore so you can donate them to a good cause?
The annual book sale at Revco Carpet here is taking place Feb. 19-21.
Proceeds from this year’s sale will be donated to the local Alzheimer Society and the Mixed Children’s Judo Club.
Drop off gently-used books between Feb. 9 and 18 at Revco (950 Fifth St. W.)
No textbooks, encyclopedias, or magazines, please.
The fundraiser then will take place Thursday, Feb. 19 and Friday, Feb. 20 from 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m., and again Saturday, Feb. 21 from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m.
The public can drop by the store during those hours, fill a bag with books, and then make a donation to the Alzheimer Society.

Meanwhile, don’t forget “Forget Me Not,” the local Alzheimer Society’s annual charitable dinner, also featuring entertainment and an auction, will be held Saturday, Jan. 31 at 5:30 p.m. at La Place Rendez-Vous.
Tickets cost $50 each or $400 for a table of eight, with a $25 tax receipt issued.

Like all the other fundraising events for the local Alzheimer Society, proceeds will go towards further promotion of Alzheimer awareness and education in both districts—not to a provincial or national organization.
