Press Release
Anyone worried about post-retirement boredom would be wise to take a page out of Margaret Sedgwick’s book.
After working for more than 30 years as CEO of the Fort Frances Public Library, she has taken full advantage of many of the creative and athletic activities offered in Borderland.
In the warmer months, you’ll find Sedgwick on the golf course or hopping into her kayak for a paddle around Rainy Lake with friends.
Hiking the trails at Rocky Inlet, or exploring other ones in northern Minnesota, also is fast becoming a passion for her.
Winter months find Sedgwick fusing glass, snowshoeing, and practicing her viola.
One of the orchestras she belongs to, the Borderland Orchestra, will be staging a free concert, “Songs of the Season,” at the Fort Frances Public Library this Monday, (Dec. 1) at 6:30 p.m.
Sedgwick’s fused glass creations also will be on display.
The “Friends of the Library” will provide refreshments.
