Overwhelming

Dear editor:
On behalf of the La Verendrye Hospital Auxiliary, I would like to thank everyone for the overwhelming response to our recent fall tea.
This would not have been possible without the willingness of the membership to volunteer many hours (the food and baking was superb, and the “Lucky Dozen” table and basket raffle did very well).
It’s also due to the generosity of donations from local businesses and, of course, to all of you who came out to enjoy the fellowship and support the auxiliary.
This is one of the fundraisers that enabled auxiliary president Susan Robertson to present Livia Lundon, chair of the Riverside Foundation for Health Care, with a cheque for $40,000 towards the purchase of a mechanical ventilator for the Intensive Care Unit.
