The Fort Frances Lakers and Dryden GM Ice Dogs won’t be continuing their on-ice battle tonight.
The scheduled contest between the two teams here was postponed after four members of the Ice Dogs were involved in a motor-vehicle accident there early yesterday evening.
The players were in a car that was struck from behind by another vehicle.
All four players suffered minor injuries but, as a precaution, they were not cleared by doctors to play tonight.
With the Ice Dogs already sporting a lengthy injury list, the Lakers agreed with the SIJHL’s request to postpone the game to a later date, which has yet to be determined.
The Lakers’ next game will be in Dryden on Saturday, with their next home contest set for Nov. 12 against the Minnesota Iron Rangers.
