No official word on whether the Kenora Broncos actually will be constructing a crocodile-filled moat around Beaver Brae High School before the next time the Muskies court teams come to town.
After yesterday, however, they might want to consider it.
It was a blitzkrieg as the Muskies captured all four matches in their first road action of the NorWOSSA season, which also doubled as Kenora’s season-opening games.
The senior boys’ volleyball squad improved to 2-0 with a 3-0 sweep of their best-of-five showdown (25-18, 25-22, and 25-14).
Meanwhile, the junior boys gave Marcel Pagee his first win as coach with their own sweep (25-14, 25-10, and 25-19) to even their record at 1-1.
In girls’ basketball action, the junior Muskies regrouped after a rough opening loss to Dryden here Tuesday with a 32-27 triumph over the Broncos.
Fort High (1-1) trailed 15-14 at halftime but took a 24-21 lead after three quarters and held on from there.
And the senior Muskies (2-0) used their press to full success—creating a flurry of Bronco turnovers in a 41-25 triumph.
Top scorers in both games were unavailable at press time.
The Muskies are now off until next Thursday (Oct. 3), when they head to Dryden to face the Eagles.
