Dear editor:
CN is meeting with some Fort Frances residents in the near future to discuss property issues related to the close proximity to a proposed third track between the underpass and Frenette Avenue (Duluth junction).
Well, what about the rest of us north and south of the tracks in this area?
Trains three kilometres long . . . stopping and starting at all hours, noise, and house shaking going on now should indicate more tracks equals more of the same.
The Duluth junction, CN’s second-busiest port of entry, isn’t going to get less busy, is it?
Some $2.2 billion for 2014 was announced by CN in the July 29 edition of the Chronicle Journal as a capital investment nationwide to improve productivity and fluidity for the network of rail freight service to meet customer needs.
Shouldn’t affect us . . . or should it?
