Neil Kabel, left, manager of native housing for Wahkaihganun Futures Corp., and John DeGagne of DeGagne Construction Ltd. took a look at one of the six units in the new apartment complex being built on Eighth Street West. Work is progressing ahead of schedule, with tenants expected to move in by early 2014. DeGagne has committed to keeping dollars local, buying materials locally as well as hiring local workers and subcontractors for the job.
