Tying into April being Cancer Awareness Month and Friday, April 24 being Arbor Day, the regional Youth Action Alliance! tied 80-100 ribbons to trees around town that day. The ribbons have tobacco industry “demoralization facts” attached to them. YAA! is part of a youth-led tobacco use prevention movement whose mission is to expose the tobacco industry and its manipulation of youth by sharing the truth about the industry’s lies and deceptions.
