More than 50 residents gathered Saturday afternoon to mark the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women. The ceremony and candlelight vigil, which took place at Knox United Church, was in memory of the 14 women killed by a gunman at l’École Polytechnique in Montreal 19 years ago, as well as women from the across the district who are victims of gender-based violence.
