Chanelle Matthews, a student in Eva Vizi’s Grade 7/8 French Immersion class at St. Francis School, created a tribal mask during Cher Pruys’ art workshop held Friday. The workshop ran on two afternoons, where the students studied tribal masks, formed their own out of clay, and then painted their creations. The success of the workshop prompted the school to extend Pruys’ teachings to other classrooms there over the next few weeks.
