The Portage Avenue underpass was reopened to two lanes late yesterday as work on the site has wrapped up for the winter. The public is reminded, however, to continue using only the east sidewalk through the winter since the west one is not ready yet. The project will resume in the spring, and is scheduled for completion in early fall of 2008. Work next year will include finishing the west sidewalk, the reconstruction of the east wall, and removal of the east sidewalk.
