The Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics ran yesterday afternoon from the Civic Centre to Tim Hortons. Over $6,000 was raised by the event for the international competition for athletes with intellectual disabilities in Fort Frances. Ten athletes and a dozen law enforcement officials, from Customs, the jail and the OPP came out to raise funds and awareness, and be part of the 15,000 who participated in the walk across Ontario.
