OPP Cst Caroline Spencer used a big red hand—meaning “don’t walk”—to talk to young students at J.W. Walker School yesterday about road safety and how to cross a busy intersection. With the recent changes at the corner of King’s Highway and Keating Avenue, the school invited Cst. Spencer to remind children about how to cross a road safely. The highway was widened this summer, and the timing of the lights has been changed to give children more time to cross the road.
