Nadia Felix, left, Vickie Wishart, Ann Ostby, Helen Crook, Donna Wasykowski and Carra Onichuk stood proudly by Canadian flag-shaped tulip garden they, along with Mayor Dan Onichuk, planted on Oct. 29 across from the local Legion. The 750 tulip bulbs were given to the Town of Fort Frances by the Dutch royal family back in June. This was so the town, along with many other communities across Canada, could plant a “Friendship Tulip Garden”—a show of thanks to veterans who helped liberate the Netherlands 60 years ago. —Submitted photo
