Students, teachers, and parents from the JW Walker School community participated in the “Safe Crossing” program yesterday where they learned about safety around trains and railway tracks. Fort Frances was among only 10 communities in Canada chosen to deliver the program. CN Police Cst. Pete LeDrew had this train brought over so the students could see just how big they are up close. Adults and children alike covered their ears as the engineer blew the train’s loud whistle.
