Some 57 Grade 7 and 8 students at St Francis School participated in the 24-hour Famine beginning Tuesday and ending yesterday at 4 pm. The students broke their fast with pizza, fresh veggies, and juice, followed by a school dance. The intermediate students raised more than $2,000 for Development and Peace, while the junior students held a coin drive to lend a hand.
