The “Knox Renewal” fundraising team has crept closer to its goal of cracking the top 10 in the Aviva Community Fund national competition.
Team member Bill Gushulak said that as of this morning, their bid for funding to build an elevator at Knox United here has climbed to 13th place.
The project had 3,265 votes as of press time today.
With 729 supporters, the key at this point is consistency, stressed Gushulak, noting it’s crucial those supporters vote each and every day at www.avivacommunityfund.org/ideas/acf19056
Right now, fewer than 300 votes separate Knox from the 10th-place spot—a gap that can be bridged if supporters vote daily until voting closes Monday at 11 a.m. (CST).
The top 10 projects advance to the semi-final round.
Gushulak said remembering to vote Saturday and Sunday is very important as the team noticed competing projects have had a dip in their votes over the weekend.
“If we can keep people motivated over the weekend, that’s wonderful,” he remarked.
“Keep up the good work and remember that every vote is important.”
Of course, it’s never too late to get new supporters on board and voting.
