Chalk up another night of success for the only perfect squad in the Fort Frances Women’s Volleyball League.
Alliance solidified its hold on first place by earning the maximum six points in their two matches last night to raise their season total to 18.
That moved them two up on second-place By The Balls (16), who grabbed five of six points last night.
Gillons’ Cougars sits in third with 14 after a five-point evening.
Scared Hitless and Kiss My Pass are tied for fourth with 10 points apiece after both teams earned four points last night.
Scared Hitless has two games in hand on Kiss My Pass.
Other teams having played two less matches than the rest of the league include sixth-place Notorious D.I.G. (nine points), seventh-place and defending champion Dig This (eight), and 10th-place Ball Busters (three).
They all were unable to play on the opening week due to the unavailability of St. Michael’s School.
Smash and I’d Hit That are tied for eighth with four points each.
Kiss My Ace and Bump It Up have yet to register a point so far.
Action resumes next Thursday (Oct. 10) at 7 p.m. at Fort High and St. Michael’s.
