The fire situation in Northwestern Ontario is as quiet as can be, with no active fires in the region.
The last three—all of which were located in Sioux Lookout District—were declared “out” yesterday.
Although forest fire activity is very quiet right now, the Ministry of Natural Resources is reminding people that the official close of the forest fire season is Oct. 31.
