On Wednesday, officers of the Ignace Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a fatal motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 approximately 10 kilometers west of Ignace.
The deceased driver of the pick up truck has been identified as Cordell Majcher, 53, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
A post mortem examination will be conducted at Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora today.
Police are continuing to investigate the collision.
