Rainy River District OPP officers responded to 105 incidents over the Canada Day long weekend.
On Saturday around 7:20 p.m., officers responded to a 9-1-1 call reporting a female had been hit in the head by another female at a residence on the 1200 block of Fourth Street in Fort Frances.
One female was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The accused, a 35-year-old Rainy River First Nations woman, was arrested and charged with assault and violating a court order.
Meanwhile, officers currently are investigating three break-and-enters.
The first incident occurred on the 800 block of Christie Avenue in Fort Frances, where culprit(s) entered an unlocked garage and stole five cases of beer.
The second incident occurred on the 1000 block of Christie Avenue North when culprit(s) entered an unlocked garage and stole a gold Mongoose BMX bicycle, wine, and beer.
The third incident occurred at a cabin on Murdock Lake, when a 15 h.p. outboard motor, a chainsaw, and some tools were stolen sometime between May 30 and June 29.
Police remind the public to lock their vehicles, residences, and out-buildings.
In other incidents, officers charged an 18-year-old Rainy River First Nations male with driving offences after they observed him operating a vehicle and swerving on Second Street in Fort Frances last Thursday around 1:25 a.m.
On Saturday around at 3:40 p.m., a 54-year-old Couchiching First Nation male was charged with having a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
He had been operating his vehicle on Highway 11 in an erratic manner when police first spotted him and stopped his vehicle.
And on Sunday around 6:05 p.m., a member of the public contacted police to report a possible impaired driver.
Police located the vehicle on Scott Street in Fort Frances.
Following their investigation, a 60-year-old Eagle Lake First Nation man was charged with impaired driving and having a blood alcohol level over 80 mg.
