The Fort Frances Jr. Wolverines will hold a mini-camp next week to begin preparations for the 2013 season.
The camp will be held at Fort High from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday (June 25-27).
“It will be for kids who will be going in Grades 7 and 8 this fall,” explained coach Ken Matthews.
The main focus of the camp, which only requires players to bring cleats and a water bottle, will be to reinforce the basics of the game ahead of the season.
“There will be an emphasis on proper tackling technique, along with some new drills for strength and conditioning that we hope the kids can build on during the course of the summer,” Matthews noted.
Following the three-day camp, the team will hold registration, which tentatively is slated for Friday, July 5 at Fort High.
The registration fee is $140.
