The warm weather finally is here as we begin our summer hours at the Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre.
Beginning Saturday (June 1), the library will be open Monday to Friday from 9 a.m.–8 p.m., and closed Saturdays and Sundays.
Meanwhile, library staff are busy preparing for a wonderful summer of exciting and entertaining programs.
The annual Teddy Bears’ Picnic, for instance, is scheduled for Friday, July 5 and promises to be a fun event for the whole family.
Be sure to pack your picnic and bring your teddy bear.
New fifty.five+ programs include our drop-in Wednesday Tech Boot Camps and our senior movies.
Teens can participate in our “Big Book Challenge,” and be eligible for the grand prize draw of an iPad.
Science North also will be visiting the library again with educational and fun activities.

Did you know the library offers free eBooks for borrowing? Drop by and we’ll show you how to load up your eReaders, smartphones, and various devices for a summer of convenient reading on the go or at the cabin.
The library also offers free movies, games, books, Playaways, and audio books for your enjoyment.

Don’t have a library card? It’s okay, there are options.
If you wish to take material out, you will require a library card (it’s free if you live in the Town of Fort Frances).
If you reside outside the town, the library board decided to maintain its non-resident fee at $77 for a family membership.
Remember, you do not require a library card to participate in any of our programs or to use our free computer, Internet, or wi-fi service.
