The monthly meeting of the Legion Br. #29 ladies’ auxiliary held May 8 at 7 p.m. at the Legion.
The charter was draped in memory of Joan Allison.
The April supper, featuring roast pork, was served to 159 people.
The monthly supper for May, which will be held Friday, May 31, will feature pork cutlets with all the trimmings, as well as homemade pies.
The meal starts at 5:30 p.m. and admission is $14/person.
A supper also was prepared and served by auxiliary members for the annual veterans’ appreciation evening.
In other news, auxiliary members participated in the Colour Party school held here May 11-12.
A Bingo also was held for Rainycrest residents on May 15.
Meanwhile, preparations already are starting for the annual Remembrance Day tea, which will be held Nov. 3 this year.
All members will be called upon to make this event another success.
Six accredited delegates will be attending the 46th-biennial convention June 15-18 in Thunder Bay.
Leslie Bell won the attendance draw of $34 while Gloria Bergner won the birthday draw.
Bingo followed the meeting, with refreshments being served.
