On Sunday at 3:45 a.m., the OPP was called to the Best Western Lakeside Inn in Kenora in response to a complaint of occupants causing a disturbance.
When police arrived, they found one male lying on the street and observed a window on the fourth floor had been broken.
The male was taken to Lake of the Woods District Hospital in Kenora, where he died shortly after arrival.
The OPP is withholding the identity of the deceased until next-of-kin can be notified.
The OPP North West Region’s Forensic Identification Unit and Crime Units have been called to assist with the investigation under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch.
