A female driver was seriously injured Thursday night after her vehicle collided with a cement structure in the underground parkade at the Riverwalk Condominiums here.
Police said the woman was moving her Volkswagen from an outside parking area into the underground parking area around 8:15 p.m. when it accelerated rapidly.
The driver received serious injuries and was taken to La Verendrye Hospital.
She later was transported to the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre.
Police said no charges were laid.
