Dear editor:
As ol’ St. Nick himself “Ho! Ho! Ho’d” his way around Rainycrest’s Hallett Hall, giving out Christmas oranges and wishing each of us a Merry Christmas, I looked at the faces of all the residents at Rainycrest’s annual Christmas party and noticed there either were smiles on them or laughter coming from them.
It is events like this one, or Diane Maxey’s Christmas cantata or even the dances that are held here every second Wednesday evening throughout the year, that would not be possible if it were not for Rainycrest’s dedicated staff members and administration.
For if it were not for these two groups of individuals, these functions would be non-existent for us to attend. The administration’s support of these activities is crucial.
When I say staff members, I’m not only referring to the Activation, the nurses, and the health care aides but also the kitchen staff for preparing our snacks and refreshments, as well as the housekeeping staff for cleaning up after these events.

Another group of individuals that I believe deserve to be recognized are the numerous volunteers who take time out of their daily lives to come here to make ours more enjoyable. Thank you.
To reiterate, and I believe that I am speaking on behalf of all the residents at Rainycrest, we would just like to say thank you to the people of Fort Frances and surrounding communities for the kindness, caring, support, and generosity you have all shown us over these past years.
