Special spot

Dear Mike:
At the end of July, after living in Fort Frances for 23 years, my husband and I embarked on a new adventure by relocating to British Columbia.
During our time in Fort Frances, we have been fortunate to make many wonderful friends and were sad to leave them behind.
We always were impressed, over the years, how the community and district came together in times of need and during fundraisers for various projects, such as the Ice For Kids Arena, the Townshend Theatre, the “Care Close to Home” campaign, and the Fort Frances Public Library, all of which have benefited the district greatly.
We quickly learned Fort Frances was a small town with a great big heart.
The time has passed quickly since leaving, and this message is long overdue. But we believe it’s never too late to express feelings of love and goodwill.
We’d like to send our thanks and appreciation to all of those friends who have touched our lives during our time in Fort Frances. And would like to recognize those businesses who always bent over backwards to give us service, such as the Fort Frances Times, Fort Frances Public Library, Northwoods Gallery & Gifts, Betty’s, and McTaggarts.
Especially my thanks to Dr. Lorena Jenks for her TLC, and the staff at the Fort Frances Clinic.
We send Christmas greetings across the miles. Fort Frances will always have a special spot in our heart.
