The Muskie boys’ hockey team returned home with silver medals following a runner-up showing at the Victoria Inn high school hockey tournament in Brandon, Man. over the weekend.
The black-and-gold were blanked 1-0 by the Oak Park Raiders (Winnipeg) in yesterday’s final.
Raiders’ goalie Tyler Dodd earned the shutout while Dylan Zeke netted the game’s lone goal in the first period.
Having finished in first place in their pool during the round-robin, the Muskies beat the John Taylor Collegiate Pipers 3-2 in the quarter-finals before edging the Sturgeon Heights Huskies 4-3 in the semis.
Fort High returns to NorWOSSA action tomorrow at 7:15 p.m. when they’ll face the Kenora Broncos at the Ice For Kids Arena.
