Drive-Thru Breakfast ready to go Sept. 27

Press Release

Voyageur Lions’ “Drive-Thru Breakfast” is set to go for Thursday, Sept. 27 at Tim Hortons.
Starting at 6:30 a.m., 200 bonus breakfast bags will be offered along with coffee and a muffin.
Only 200 bags are available this year—in the past 250 bags were available—which means that there are more chances of winning gift certificates and prizes.
Over 60 local merchants donated gift certificates and prizes for this event. The major prize this year is a motorized scooter from Shoppers Home Health Care. One of the breakfast bags will contain a certificate for this prize.
Other great prizes are a watch from Brockies, a print of the Hallet by Jean Richards from Fine Line Art Gallery, school supplies from Northland Basics and any one of many gift certificates with values up to $75!
This is the ninth year for the “Drive-Thru Breakfast.” The Lions have used the funds from this event to support local youth groups, including the FFHS Leo club. The club bought a special bicycle for a blind student, and has supported special initiatives such as the technology centre at the Fort Frances Public Library and Rachel’s Challenge.
This year, proceeds from this event will be donated to the “Together We Can” campaign.
Because there are fewer bags, we are hoping that participants will consider a larger donation for a bag.
There is no fixed price for a bag but the Lions Club accepts all donations which are offered
See you on Thursday morning, Sept. 27!
Be sure to come out early to support the Voyageur Lions and the “Together We Can” campaign!
