Pair busted for grow op

Two Atikokan men were arrested and charged Aug. 15 with several criminal offences, including the production of marijuana, possession of marijuana, possession of morphine, and several firearm offences.
During the course of the investigation, police observed two men tending to a grow operation of marijuana in the area of Turtle River Road at the time of arrest.
Furthermore, as a result of the investigation, a search warrant was obtained and additional evidence was seized from a residence in Atikokan.
Robert Kozar, 54, and Kevin LeBlanc, 54, were remanded into custody for a bail hearing and later released.
They have been ordered to appear in court in Fort Frances on Sept. 17.
As a result of this investigation, 176 mature marijuana plants, six grams of marijuana shake, marijuana seeds, 25×30 mg morphine pills, and various prescription pills were seized.
Also seized were two rifles, ammunition, hand gun (air pistol), and a compound bow.
